- 1960年以降今日まで，子供の死亡事故の第一位は，転落・転倒，火傷，溺死などの不慮の事故であり，なかでも製品起因による事故が大きな割合を占めている．しかし，この製品事故に関する情報が十分な内容と規模で収集されておらず，予防に生かされていない．本研究では，独立行政法人製品評価技術基盤機構（NITE）の事故情報データベースを利用して，「子供の為に設計された世界」と「大人のために設計された世界」の二つ製品グループに分け、事故の程度，原因区分，傷害種類などを比較・分析するとともに，現在の事故情報の問題点，事故情報システムの課題について考察した．

- Unexpected accidents of children happen frequently. Injuries caused by accidents have been at the first place in the death cause of the children in Japan since 1960 until today. Although product accident occupies a large part of those accidents, information of those accidents is not circulated among producers and designers of the products and is failing to contribute to their preventive activities.
