- ミラーサイトに対し、timeitとechopingを使用して数週間5分間毎にQoSデータの測定を行った。この結果、過去の同一曜日、時間帯の測定値とのQoS値との相関はtimeitの場合が高いことがわかった。統計データを用いてQoS特性の良い少数のサイトをあらかじめ選択し、その中からリアルタイムのQoS測定に基づき最適サイトを選択することにより、ダウンロード時間の削減が可能である。

- In this report, we measure QoS during several weeks in every five minutes using timeit and echoping for a set of mirror sites. An average of QoS samples for each time interval is used as the QoS index. A QoS index for a given day of the week correlation of QoS index for each time and for each day of the week is evaluated. It is shown QoS index measured by timeit has stranger correlation. Reduction of download time is possible by selecting site from a few candidate sites, that has been selected from many sites based on QoS statistics.
