- 本稿では,異種情報源に対して定義されたXMLビューを通じて問い合せを行う際,情報源側の操作-特に選択操作-を利用する方法(Pushing Selection Algorithm)を提案する.XMLビューに対する問い合せは再構成・変換を含むことが一般的である.再構成・変換に伴い,選択操作により評価される要素も変化する場合があるため,選択操作を情報源側に,単純に行わせると問い合せが必要としている情報を欠損するという問題点があった.本提案手法は,XMLビューの要素間の包含関係を参照することで,問い合せが必要としている情報を欠損せずに取り出せる点が特徴である.関係データベースおよびXPathデータベースに格納されている情報の検索について,提案手法の検証を行った.
- 概要（英）
- In this paper, we propose the methods of pushing selection over XML views of heterogeneous information sources. It is general that queries over XML views involve constructions and structural transformations. The question is how to avoid losing necessary information through pushing down query to information sources naively because elements evaluated by selection changes with constructions and structural transformations. The main feature of the proposed methods is not to lose necessary information by reference of inclusion relation of elements on XML view. We verify our proposed methods on relational database and XPath database.
